I thank you for a lovely day yesterday , I am so proud of my little effort which was all due to you.
I look forward to seeing you again in November, thank you
Mary, Cornwall.

I attended Sue's 2 day workshop on Glass Mosaics as a complete novice in cutting, working and designing in glass. After the two days I had completed a mirror and two small tile designs and was absolutely delighted with the results as well as totally motivated and excited to do more. The workshop was relaxed and enjoyable. This was due to Sue's easy and approachable manner. The skills and knowledge she shared with us were comprehensive and appropriate to beginners in glass mosaic. The five of us who attended this workshop were all amazed at how confident we had become in such a short time. We all went home extremely happy with our designs and having made some new friends.

I recently had the immense pleasure of attending the 2 day glass mosaic course with Sue at her studio in Devon.

It was fantastic, I was so impressed both with the content of the course and the teaching skill of Sue. She is a very laid back tutor whilst being organised and efficient. The studio is situated in a truly beautiful location.

Our class of 5,-  3 women, 1 man, 1 preteen, could not have been better looked after during our 2 days.
Nothing was too much trouble and we all felt very comfortable to ask questions, or ask for additional help. Each of us chose a quite different style of piece and were all very pleased with the  outcome.  I am delighted with mine, I never
expected to produce such a professional piece  after only 2 days tuition.
We could choose from a vast array of  materials and I felt so proud to carry my beautiful vibrant
coloured mirror back to Scotland to show my family.  If you are even remotely thinking
of doing this course - DO - you will not regret it. Well worth the cost and much easier to pick up the skills than you may think.
Sue was very kind to me and did everything to assist my arrival and departure from such a long journey.
I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone of any age.

'If you are considering booking a workshop with Sue Smith - stop thinking about it and do it! I treated myself to a mosaic workshop with Sue in July and spent a fabulous day with about seven other beginners learning how to use stained glass to fabulous effect in a mirror mosaic. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and we were all thrilled with what we managed to produce in such a short time, which was all down to Sue's uncanny ability to find our inner artist. The whole workshop was brilliantly organised and great fun. The best money I spent all summer!

Last year I attended one of Sue Smiths workshops held at Woodbury. The class was held over two days and was a mix of novice and more experienced students. The size of the group meant that each person had individual attention as well as the chance to make new friends. Sue was an excellent tutor, bringing in a portfolio of pictures of her work to inspire us, patiently helping those of us with no experience, giving straightforward advice and clear instructions. Each person chose a unique design and at the end of the two days had a professional looking finished piece to take home. The two days were thoroughly enjoyable and my finished garden mosaic has received many compliments since then.

I cannot recommend this course enough. Sue is passionate about her craft and truly inspirational. She teaches the skills involved sequentially and very effectively builds up the confidence of the course members. The tasks involved ensure that the skills are thoroughly developed but provide course members with the opportunity to experiment and foster their own creativity. The hallmark of a good course is whether participants follow up, at home, the skills they have learnt. I certainly did and Sue was always available to provide further support and encouragement.

I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the mosaic course.

As a person who feels I am not at all artistic, and have never done anything like this before, I am amazed and delighted how much I achieved in the 2 days. I really did not expect to go home with a large completed mosaic!

It was great working in a small group so there was plenty of time for you to give individual help,  not just with the technique (which I think we got the hang off surprisingly quickly) but with the design and use of colour etc. I so appreciated your generosity with ideas as well as materials.

The boxes of glass were amazing, it was like being in a massive sweetie shop, they made you want to do something creative with them!

Thanks for a great w/end!

Ps liked the venue as well and constant supply of all sorts of teas and coffee

Just wanted to say how much I thoroughly enjoyed the workshops I did with you on Mosaics, the pieces I did have been admired by many.

"We were delighted by the amount we managed to cover during our one-day workshop, and all came out of it with something of which we felt justly proud.  It was helpful that we had ideas for designs in advance, but having all the materials ready at hand, and guided by Suzie's ever patient and inspired tutoring we managed to translate these into stunning stained glass panels.  The overriding memory though is the enormous fun we had during the process."

Below are some of the super mosaics produced at the workshops.  Most of the people who come along have never cut glass before.
