Materials Box for FREE Mosaic Course.

Posted by Sue Smith on

At the beginning the first lockdown here in the UK, I posted a free online course for a Stained Glass Garden Mosaic Panel. It was for everyone in isolation who either wanted to learn a new craft or take their skill in another direction. Click the link at the bottom of this post. You can find this free course in my YouTube Channel: Sue Smith Glass along with many other short tips and tricks.

The course is broken down into 19 mini videos beginning with tools, taking you through various techniques and ending with grouting, cleaning and polishing your finished mosaic.

As many of you got back to me saying you could not find the tools, materials and stands I use for my work, I have made them all available from my online store.

To accompany this free course I have put together a Lockdown Video Glass Pack with all the border strips, stained glass, bugs and inclusions (excluding the mirror base and metal spike).  The box contains enough glass to complete this mosaic and have plenty left over to use in your next project.

Many of you have your own tools but if you are starting out or missing any, I can also supply these if needed, just ask and I will send you a link.

The glass panel, when completed, can be displayed all year long in the garden - either by using a long stake which can be pushed into a border or planter or hung on a wall or fence. All the weather resistant fittings are made by local engineers to my own design.
